Armed trawler Scottish

Postby Agustin Ruzafa on Mar 6th, '10, 14:21

Good morning, my name is Agustin Ruzafa live in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). I am dedicated to investigating events that occurred in my region during WW2. Now I am investigating the fall of a FW200 Kondor in Camariñas port on 2/1/1942 , this aircraft was damaged in combat with the armed trawler called SCOTTISH off the coast of Portugal. Belonged to the 14th anti-submarine striking force and in that combat a soldier died and another wounded and landed in Lisbon. Would you have more data on this boat? Shipyard, dimensions, armament, etc.
Thank you very much and greetings.

My God that quickly, many thanks for your help, was stuck with this.
As end of the article publishes a review, and of course the quote in the section on sources.
Thank you very much and greetings.

Agustin

I have a record of HMS Scottish helping to destroy a FW 200 on 2/9/1942.

According to Kenneth Poolman's book Focke-Wulf Condor, Sourge Of The Atlantic (1978 Book Club Associates- London):
On September 2nd another FW was destroyed by the combined efforts of HMS Scottish's and the S S Grodno's Bofors, Oerlikons and 0.5 machine-guns.
