Hi All,

Anyone at HMS Europa, roped in for ceremonial guard (especially any bunting-tossers or sparks) during summer of 1946.

Also people on sweepers in Norway 1945 or Invergordon 1943/45
HMS Collingwood 1942 (July - December )

Happy Christmas,

My Grandad (Percy Dennehy, JX.200870) was based at HMS Europa a few times during the war his notes read :-

19th Jun '40 - 29th Aug '40.. his Substantive Rating is Seaman & Non-Substantive is AA3(AV)
11th Jun '41 - 21st Jun '41 .. Seaman
17th Jan '43 - 21st Apr '43 .. Substantive Rating is Ldg Seaman & Non-Substantive is Combined Ops Operations
22nd Apr '43 - 8th Jul '43... The writing isn't very clear for this period, it looks like Grandad is still at Europa but "Royal Naval Commando" has been written over "Europa".
1st May '45 - 12thAug '45 .. Substantive - War Ldg Seaman & Non-Substantive - P.S.G.L(what does this mean?)
